The Raiders have named their first team of 2022, with a 22-man squad set to take on the Roosters in a trial on Friday night at Leichardt Oval.

Jarrod Croker will captain the side and start at centre after recovering from stem-cell surgery on his troublesome knee that saw him miss the back end of last year.

Young gun Xavier Savage will get first crack at the fullback spot after being named in the number 1 jersey with Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad named on the bench.

It will be a blend of youth and experience in the halves with Brad Schenider to partner Sam Williams, while Matt Frawley has been named at hooker.

New recruit Adam Elliott will start in the backrow alongside promising youngster Trey Mooney with Ryan Sutton named at lock.

Seb Kris, Peter Hola and Corey Harawira-Naera are part of the nine-man bench.

The Raiders and Roosters trial match will be shown live on Fox League and Kayo from 6pm this Friday night.
