Raiders unchanged for Dragons encounter

The Canberra Raiders have named an unchanged 17 for their Round 15 clash against the Dragons at Win Stadium on Saturday 19 June at 5.30pm.

The Raiders are coming off a 38-16 victory over the Broncos at GIO Stadium last week, just their second win in their last nine matches.

Bailey Simonsson remains at fullback after a strong first showing in the position last week where he ran for 243 metres to go along with two try assists.

Matt Timoko will get another crack in the centres after an impressive performance against the Broncos where his powerful running was on full display.

Josh Hodgson will once again start at hooker with Tom Starling to come off the bench.

Ryan James is available after serving a one-match suspension but has been named on the extended bench.

Meanwhile, the Dragons are coming off a dismal 28-6 loss to the bottom placed Bulldogs last week.

Despite the heavy loss, coach Anthony Griffin has named an unchanged 17. However, Zac Lomax has been named on the extended bench and could be a chance to return from a thumb injury.

This shapes as an important match for both sides finals hopes with the Raiders to leapfrog the Dragons into eighth spot with a victory.
