Raiders unchanged for Sharks clash

The Canberra Raiders have announced an unchanged lineup for their round two match against the Cronulla Sharks at Netstrata Jubilee Stadium in Kogarah NSW on Sunday 21 March 6.15pm.

It means Jarrod Croker and Corey Horsburgh are still at least another week away with Ricky Stuart sticking with the same 17 that got the job done against the Wests Tigers in round one.

Croker is still recovering from shoulder surgery in the off season and, although he has been training with the main group for a couple of weeks, there is no rush to get him back in the side.

The Raiders left edge was strong in his absence, with Seb Kris filling in well at centre and Jordan Rapana scoring two tries on the wing. George Williams also did an excellent job taking over the kicking duties, slotting 5 from 6 goals.

Rapana has again been named at right wing and Bailey Simonsson on the left but expect them to switch for the game like they did last week.

Horsburgh has been left out of the 21-man squad entirely and will play in the NSW Cup as he returns from a suspension for drink driving.

In a sign of the Raiders forward depth, Emre Guler will once again play in the reserves after the Raiders bench forwards all performed well against the Tigers. Tom Starling has been named on the extended bench once again with Siliva Havili the backup utility.

Their opponents, the Sharks, are coming off a 32-18 victory over the Dragons in round one and have made just the one forced change.

Jesse Ramien will miss the next three matches after being charged over a high tackle and has been replaced in the centres by Mawene Hiroti.
