Canberra Royals Rugby Union Club have joined forces with the Royals Volleyball Club in a new sporting partnership.
Royals Volleyball Club is the new club in town, and has been built on the values of Community, Respect and Enjoyment.
These values sit alongside Royals Rugby who pride themselves on being one of Canberraโs oldest and most successful clubs with over 70 years of experience.
Royals Volleyball Club has found welcoming support from the community gaining sponsorship with CBC Metal Fabrication, along with Lawrance & Co. and The Meating Room.
Through sponsorship and fundraising, Royals Volleyball Club endeavour to be the most affordable volleyball club in the ACT.
They pride themselves on being the kind of sporting community that a well-established club like Royals Rugby are proud to be involved with.
The Royals partnership came through despite a difficult year with lock downs and social distancing.
Canberra Royals Rugby won the Menโs First Grade Premiership and Womenโs Premiership, but the success didnโt end there.
Royals Volleyball Club came through to win gold medals in both the Junior Womenโs and Reserve Womenโs Volleyball ACT competition as well as finishing with a silver in the Premier Menโs league and Womenโs Recreational, and bronze in the Reserve Menโs competition.
Royals Volleyball Club is hosting a pre-season event on Tuesday 2 March at The Meating Room in Weston.
They commence training in March in Weston Creek on Wednesday and Thursday evenings and offer a variety of sessions to suit all skill levels and ages.
