Second woman arrested for Tuggeranong jewellery heist

ACT Policing has arrested a second woman in relation to last week’s $13,000 robbery at a Tuggeranong jewellery store.

A 31-year-old Monash woman was arrested about 4.20pm Sunday 15 January at a residence in Monash.  

Officers had previously searched the premises in connection with the robbery, locating multiple cannabis plants, ammunition, suspected stolen property and airguns.  

The woman has been charged with aggravated robbery in company, riding in a motor vehicle without consent, possessing ammunition, receiving stolen property, cultivating a controlled plant (3 or more cannabis plants), theft and unauthorised possession of firearms.  

She is set to appear in the ACT Magistrates Court today where police will oppose bail.
