Southern NSW records 669 COVID-19 cases

The Southern NSW Local Health District (SNSWLHD) has recorded 669 new COVID-19 cases.

554 of the new cases are from PCR tests with 115 from rapid antigen tests.

The number of people in hospital with the virus is 22 with three in the ICU. 29 people are under active care.

There are 3,920 active COVID cases in the region.

The total number of cases in the SNSWLHD since 1 July is 7,390 and there have been six deaths.

  • The Queanbeyan Palerang LGA recorded 151 new COVID-19 cases.
  • Goulburn Mulwaree LGA recorded 94 new cases.
  • Bega Valley LGA has 142 new infections.
  • Eurobodalla LGA has 118 new cases.
  • Snowy Monaro LGA has 25 new COVID infections.
  • Yass Valley LGA reported 10 COVID-19 cases.
  • Upper Lachlan reported 14 new cases.

Meanwhile, NSW recorded almost 32,297 new infections and 32 deaths.

Three people were aged in their 40s, three people were aged in their 60s, eight people were in their 70s, 11 people were in their 80s and seven people were in their 90s.

Of the 32 people who died; 23 people had received at least two doses of a COVID-19 vaccine, one person had received one dose and eight were not vaccinated.
