New discount store Ten Tops is set to open in Canberra tomorrow, with nothing in store priced over $10.
From the family-owned Bernardi Group, which owns and operates a variety of stores across Central West NSW, Ten Tops in Fyshwick is promising goods from a range of categories like groceries and homewares for $10 ‘tops’.
“We understand how important good value is to our customers and there is certainly some competition amongst our team on who can find the best deals – especially when it comes to everyday products,” says Bernardi Group Co-CEO Joseph Bernardi.
“At Ten Tops you’ll save big on everyday items across a range of categories including grocery, pet care, health and beauty, stationery, toys and games, tech accessories, art and crafts and more, there really is something for everyone!”
This will be the second Ten Tops store for the Bernardi Group, after the recent opening of Ten Tops in Dubbo which proved extremely popular with locals there.
“In our opening weeks in Dubbo, we virtually sold out of kids’ toys, pet care, cleaning products and grocery items and were completely overwhelmed by the support and positive feedback from Dubbo locals,” Joseph says.
“However, this has enabled us to be on the front foot with Canberra, ensuring a great customer experience with plenty of stock.”
The Ten Tops store is also set to employ more than 25 Canberrans across permanent, part-time and casual positions.
Bernardi Group’s Isabella Bernardi says Canberra is the largest market the company has ever entered into.
“We’re constantly trying to innovate as a business and we really believe in this model,” she says.
“We would really appreciate the support from the Canberra people … It means we can support other independent business, supplies, logistics, and that’s something we really believe in.”
Some of the bargains you’ll find in store during the opening week are: hessian pet beds for $10, 20 Magnum classic ice creams for $10, and a 60-pack of Finish dishwasher tablets for $6.
Ten Tops Canberra will open on Saturday 21 November 9am at 17 Iron Knob Street, Fyshwick.
