A home in Canberra will be refurbished to provide a safe, short-term home for young people in need of urgent support, thanks to funding in the upcoming ACT Budget and from the Rotary Club of Canberra, in association with the Youth Coalition of the ACT.
Local shops and playgrounds will be “refreshed” and new dogs parks and public toilets will be built in selected suburbs, as part of the 2021-22 ACT Budget’s focus on suburban infrastructure, Chief Minister Andrew Barr announced today.
