Canberra Liberals leader Elizabeth Lee has announced a minor Shadow Cabinet reshuffle following the recent election of Liberal MLA for Murrumbidgee, Ed Cocks.
CIT board deputy chair Kate Lundy will succeed Craig Sloan as chair from 1 July – but the Canberra Liberals are concerned given she was on the board when CEO Leanne Cover entered a controversial multi-million dollar contract with Patrick Hollingworth.
Despite significant backlash on the Growing and Renewing Public Housing Program, including the policy being called “callous and cruel”, the ACT Government say they did not agree to review the implementation of the policy, contrary to statements from ACTCOSS this morning, 4 April.
The blame game for Canberra’s lack of housing affordability continues, with the Liberals pressuring the ACT Labor-Greens Government to act, while the local government claim it’s the Commonwealth’s fault.
