In response to the ACT Government’s Budget housing package, Canberra Liberals leader Elizabeth Lee has today announced she will be fronting a shadow ministry of housing, targeting affordability and choice.
The ACT Government’s debt is spiralling out of control, the Canberra Liberals say, and they want an independent budget audit of the Territory’s finances by the end of this year.
The Canberra Liberals state that the ACT Government has refused to answer their questions about the CIT contracts that saw $8.87 million spent on one contractor. But the minister concerned says that providing that information to the Liberals could hinder or interfere with an investigation.
