While there was previously hope the festival could run in the latter half of 2021, Minister Cheyne said waiting until 2022 was the most “practical and achievable” strategy.
Registrations opened this morning for a number of events including the Canberra Balloon Spectacular, Lights! Canberra! Action!, Symphony in the Park, Canberra Day and the Enlighten Alley and Bentspoke Beer Garden.
The Lunar New Year festive season will give Canberra a glow next week, and despite being somewhat different due to COVID-19, there will still be the usual abundance of food, light and a focus on family to mark the occasion.
