Wild weather is set to return to Australia's east coast and along the Great Australian Bight, just as communities hit hard by flooding begin cleaning up.Â
A cold front is bringing rain and thunderstorms to South Australia and southern parts of the Northern Territory today, the Bureau of Meteorology warns. The front will move into far western Queensland, NSW, the ACT and Victoria later today with rain and thunderstorms impacting large areas of the eastern states on Thursday.
Australians are most likely in for a third year of wetter weather than usual with forecasters predicting a 70 per cent likelihood of La Nina remaining.
