The CBR Brave are one step closer to an Australian Ice Hockey League Goodall Cup with a dominant 6-1 win over the Newcastle Northstars last night, Friday 2 September, at the O’Brien Icehouse in Melbourne.
The second game of the weekend Ice Hockey double-header for the CBR Brave was a close-fought affair, which saw them have to come from behind to take the points from the Melbourne Ice, winning 7-3.
After a close first period, the AIHL-leading CBR Brave turned on the pressure and ran away with the first game of this weekend’s double-header at the Phillip Ice Skating Rink on Saturday evening - a 9 goals to 1 win against the visiting Melbourne Ice.
Ice hockey returned to Phillip Ice Skating Centre last night, and the standing room only crowd were treated to two close, hard-fought periods before the home team CBR Brave turned it on and blew the scoreline out - winning 9 goals to 5 against the Sydney Ice Dogs.
The long wait for ice hockey fans finally comes to an end this week, with the CBR Brave kicking off the 2022 Australian Ice Hockey League (AIHL) this weekend against the Melbourne Ice in Melbourne.
The CBR Brave had a hard-fought 5-2 victory over the Sydney Ice Dogs in their first home game of the 2021 McCormack Cup at the Phillip Swimming and Ice-Skating Centre last night, Saturday 15 May.
