Three adults are expected to face court today, Wednesday 21 October, after a series of property thefts in the Gungahlin region.
Police will allege the 33-year-old man, 36-year-old woman, and 41-year-old man were spotted stealing packages from residences in Casey, Nicholls and Taylor on Tuesday afternoon (20 October).
The group were allegedly spotted travelling in a grey Volkswagen Golf at the time.
The three people were apprehended by police at the Bonner Shops at about 3.30pm yesterday afternoon, where the 33-year-old mad allegedly assaulted a police officer.
He will face charges of joint commission theft and assaulting a frontline community service worker.
The 36-year-old women will face five charges in relation to the incident, including joint commission theft, drug driving, use unregistered vehicle, use uninsured vehicle, and drive while disqualified.
The 41-year-old man has been charged with one count of joint commission theft.

ACT Policing were also urging Canberrans to be vigilant when it comes to home safety, following number of reported home aggravated burglaries and a spike of commercial aggravated burglaries in September.
Residents are reminded offenders can enter through unlocked doors and opened windows, and are often found targeting jewellery, cash, phones and car keys.
