Three arrested in ACT over NSW police hit-and-run

Three people are in custody after ACT Policing executed warrants for their arrest in Yarralumla today in relation to a 30 August hit-and-run incident near Cooma in which a police officer was hurt.

A 26-year-old Yarralumla man, a 43-year-old O’Malley woman and a 20-year-old Coombs man were arrested after an investigation into a hit-and-run incident at Nimmitabel (NSW) on Monday 30 August 2021, in which a NSW Police Officer was injured.

The New South Wales Police Force made a formal request for assistance from ACT Policing Criminal Investigations after investigations revealed that the alleged offenders were in the ACT.

The trio will appear in the ACT Magistrates Court today, Thursday 21 October, where Detectives from NSW Police Force will seek their extradition.
