Three in hospital following high-speed collision

Three people were taken to hospital following a two-car high-speed collision on the Monaro Highway near the Malcolm Fraser Bridge at Pialligo around 5.45am today.

ACT Ambulance Service (ACTAS) and ACT Fire & Rescue crews attended the scene.

The high-speed collision caused significant injuries to three patients, who were all transported to hospital in a stable condition.

All northbound lanes heading towards Pialligo were closed for about three hours and reopened around 8.45am.

Motorists were being advised to take care when travelling through the area.
