To the editor: Keep cross-party dialogue constructive

The ACT Parliamentary Greens take the opportunity of some significant cross-party constructive dialogue with the Liberals, and throw it back in the face of Canberra Liberals leader, Elizabeth Lee (CW 4 November 2021 p6). Unhelpful, snide references to past elections. Ms Lee is a respected new Leader, and is supported in her mature, intelligent style (of substance) by non-Liberal voters, even some intelligent Greens who do not support her Party policy. Move on from the immature political point scoring. Own goals, boys! The 100 per cent renewable claim is only possible by the coal-fired backup to wind, solar and hydro. It might be that the ACT is paying for its power from renewable sources, but they do not constantly (or ever?) produce the 100 per cent needed. Just read the Letter to Editor on page 12 (CW 4 November 2021). 100 per cent is in the smoke and mirrors!
