Weston man scores $1 million Monday night Lotto win

After discovering he’d become an overnight millionaire thanks to Monday & Wednesday Lotto, a Weston man admitted he had the most peaceful sleep.

The Canberra resident held the only division one winning entry in Monday & Wednesday Lotto draw 4180 on Monday 9 May and took home $1 million.

Speaking with an official from The Lott this morning, the winner admitted he’d missed calls from The Lott because he was fast asleep and dreaming of his million-dollar win.

“I found out very late last night,” he said.

“I couldn’t believe it. It was a big shock!

“The first person I told was my mum, and she was blown away by the news. She was just as shocked as me.

“I always play Monday & Wednesday Lotto, but I never thought I’d be a millionaire. It sounds very lovely hearing you call me a millionaire.

“I feel like a very lucky person. It’s a dream come true!

“I didn’t celebrate because it was late, but I had the most peaceful sleep last night. I even slept in today which was very surprising for me.

“It’s hard to decide what to do with all this money. I might buy a house and use the rest for my retirement.

“I’ll go out for dinner once the money is in my bank account. It’ll be nice to celebrate this win.”

The winning numbers in Monday & Wednesday Lotto draw 4180 on Monday 9 May 2022 were 42, 40, 45, 24, 13 and 32, while the supplementary numbers were 1 and 25.
