Canberra Centre launches ‘Beautopia’

The Canberra Centre has announced ‘Beautopia’, an “immersive beauty experience” that will feature interactive experiences and workshops for an entire month. The events will encourage guests to “throw out traditional beauty standards and embrace their sparkle”, with brand demonstrations and beauty talks from model Elle Ferguson, YouTube star Shani Grimmond, Vogue Australia editors Remi Rippon and Kaila Matthews, makeup artist and owner of the eponymous makeup brand, Rae Morris, and, Canberra’s very own makeup artist extraordinaire, Danh Doan. Guests will also be able to lose themselves in the Beauty Temple, which will feature “playful and inspiring walls”, as well as being a space for people to unwind, with complimentary pamper sessions, live music, giveaways and a pop-up gin bar. “The power of makeup crosses generations and genders and speaks to a wide range of people,” said Canberra Centre general manager, Gary Stewart. “Makeup can be so much more than products for outer beauty, it can help people unlock a new drive within themselves, find an inner beauty they didn’t know was there, explore their creativity, discover newfound self-confidence, and for some, even launch international careers. Beautopia celebrates inner beauty while inspiring guests to be creative and express themselves through makeup.”

The Beauty Temple installation will offer guests the chance to unwind with a range of activities.

Beautopia will open on Friday 27 September 6pm with a launch event, and run until Sunday 27 October. For more information or to book your spot for one of the events, visit canberracentre.com.au/play/events/Beautopia
