What’s on around Canberra in July 2023

And just like that, half the year is gone, and we’re in July!

The Canberra region is keeping things cool while celebrating winter and mid-year festivities all month long.

Christmas comes not once but twice this month, with the Xmas in July festival bringing cheese, wine and markets to Parkes Place Lawns until 2 July. Then the following week, Santa makes a visit to Queanbeyanโ€™s Christmas in July  for more festive fun on Saturday 8 July.

Festivals continue with Winter in the City bringing snow and seasonal fun to Canberra City Centre until 16 July. The latest in innovation, design and art is showcased across the capital in the new Uncharted Territory festival from 7-16 July.

The Australian National Botanic Gardens keeps things cool as they step back in history with MEGAfauna: a walk through time, head on a adventure tracking prehistotic creatures and plants for the whole month. Their special afterDARK event invites you to the gardens at night for entertainment and roaming beasts.
