Snow Concert Hall is set to host world-renowned artists, violinist Daniel Röhn and pianist Simon Tedeschi, who will perform showpieces and classics from the golden era of the 1920s and 1930s for Canberrans on Saturday 7 October.
Snow Concert Hall International Series Artistic Director Ana de la Vega said the performance by the duo was yet another treat for Canberra music lovers, following on from two sold-out concerts in August by the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra with Wynton Marsalis.
“We’re excited to host Daniel Röhn, one of the most remarkable violinists of the present day and the third generation of one of Europe’s most distinguished musical traditions, as he returns to Canberra for the first time in ten years, after performing for orchestras around the world,” Ms de la Vega said.
“Daniel will perform alongside Simon Tedeschi, one of Australia’s most celebrated classical pianists who has performed for audiences, royalty and world leaders worldwide, from the Sydney Opera House to Carnegie Hall, picking up accolades like the Centenary of Federation Medal along the way.”
Together, they capture the essence of the transformative era of the ‘roaring twenties’ which was a pivotal period in history.
“The pair will perform compositions by Kreisler, Korngold, Debussy, Gershwin, and more, Canberrans can expect to be transported back in time to a world of jazz, silent films, and creative explosion,” Ms de la Vega said.
Don’t miss this extraordinary evening of music with Daniel Röhn and Simon Tedeschi at Snow Concert Hall on 7 October.
