Witnesses sought to road rage in Kambah, and Parkway collision

ACT Policing is seeking witnesses and dash-cam footage of two southside traffic incidents earlier this week – the first involving a road rage altercation in Kambah, and the second a collision on the Tuggeranong Parkway.

The road rage incident occurred on Monday 8 November around 5pm between drivers of a silver Mazda 323 and a white Isuzu truck.

It began on Namatjira Drive, Chapman and culminated at the intersection of Sulwood Drive and Drakeford Drive, Kambah.

An alleged altercation took place at the Kambah intersection, during which an unknown member of the public spoke to both parties. Police would like to speak with this person, and anyone else with information about this incident in order to generate a full picture of the events.

Police are also investigating a collision on the Tuggeranong Parkway between the Cotter Road and Hindmarsh Drive exits about 4pm yesterday, Wednesday 10 November, in which a woman was injured.

Prior to the collision, a sedan, reported as either silver or gold in colour, was being driven southbound on the Tuggeranong Parkway where it clipped a red Hyundai. The Hyundai then ran into a barricade and the sedan was driven from the scene, without stopping.

In an attempt to identify the vehicle or driver, police are seeking dashcam footage or witness accounts of the collision, and any information about the sedan being driven erratically, including swerving between vehicles and speeding in the area before or after the collision.

Anyone with information that can assist police is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via the Crime Stoppers ACT website. Please quote 6955700 (Kambah incident) and 6957526 (Parkway incident). Information can be provided anonymously.
