Woman charged after attempt to run over former partner in Dickson

A 30-year-old woman will face the ACT Magistrates Court today after allegedly attempting to run over her former partner during an incident in Dickson on Monday 9 September.

At around midday, the woman, accompanied by her two children, met with her former partner near the Dickson pool. Following a conversation, she got into her car and allegedly drove towards him, narrowly missing him. The woman reportedly reversed the vehicle and drove at him again, this time striking him in the hand and ribs.

After the woman and her children left the scene, police were called. Officers later attended her O’Connor residence and arrested her.

She has been charged with aggravated assault occasioning actual bodily harm, aggravated property damage, and driving-related offences.
