Woman dies after being struck by car near Goulburn

A 32-year-old woman has sadly died after being struck by a car near Goulburn early this morning.

Around 4am on Thursday 14 November, emergency services were called to the Hume Highway near Sydney Road, Boxers Creek, following reports of a pedestrian being hit by a car.

Officers from The Hume Police District attended the scene and were informed that the woman was on the road when she was struck by a northbound four-wheel drive.

NSW Ambulance paramedics treated the woman at the scene before transporting her to Goulburn Base Hospital, where she later died.

The driver of the four-wheel drive, a 63-year-old man, was taken to hospital for mandatory testing. Police have established a crime scene, and an investigation is underway with assistance from the Crash Investigation Unit.

A report will be prepared for the Coroner. Police are urging anyone with information, dashcam footage, or CCTV related to the incident to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
