Woman dies in two-vehicle crash near Batemans Bay

A 67-year-old woman has died following a two-vehicle crash on the NSW South Coast near Batemans Bay.

About 1.30pm Friday 17 November, emergency services responded to the Princes Highway, Cullendulla, approximately five kilometres North-East of Batemans Bay, following reports a hatchback and a cement truck collided head-on.

NSW Ambulance paramedics treated the driver of the hatchback, but the woman died at the scene.

The driver of the truck, a 41-year-old-man, was taken to Batemans Bay Hospital for mandatory testing.

Officers attached to South Coast Police District established a crime scene and are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.

The Princes Highway was closed in both directions for several hours.

As inquiries continue, anyone who may have witnessed the incident, or has dashcam vision is urged to contact police or Crime Stoppers 1800 333 000. A report will be prepared for the information of the coroner.
