Woman in 80s dies, 904 new COVID cases in ACT

The ACT has recorded one new death and 904 COVID cases in the 24 hours to 8pm last night.

The death is a woman in her 80s that takes the ACT’s COVID-19 death toll to 25 from 32,042 infections.

Of the 904 new COVID cases, 546 are from PCR tests and 358 are from RATs.

There are 4,829 active cases in Canberra, while 67 patients remain in hospital.

They include three in intensive care, with one on a ventilator.

41.1 per cent of residents over the age of 18 have received their booster shot.

54.5 per cent of children between five and 11 years old have received their first dose after becoming eligible in the second week of January.
