Woman fatally stabbed in Bruce, man in hospital under police guard

ACT Policing are treating the stabbing death of a 65-year-old woman in Bruce yesterday evening as a homicide. A 70-year-old man remains under police guard in hospital in a serious condition following the incident. Police are yet to speak to him in relation to the murder.

About 5.40pm on Monday 23 October, ACT Ambulance Service paramedics and police were called to a residence in Kinloch Circuit, Bruce following reports of a woman with stab wounds.

Sadly, the woman was pronounced dead at the scene. A man was also located injured at the residence and was subsequently transported to hospital in a serious condition.

A crime scene was established and police are investigating the circumstances of the incident.
