Nominations have now opened for the 2022 Canberra Women in Business (CWB) Gala Awards. The CWB Awards recognise and reward the contributions and outstanding achievements of businesswomen in the ACT.
Members of the community and businesses themselves can now nominate for awards across six categories:
- Business Woman of the Year
- Young Business Woman of the Year
- Indigenous Business Woman of the Year
- Small Business Woman of the Year
- Innovation Business Woman of the Year
- Social Impact Business Woman of the Year
Applications will remain open until midnight 7 October.
President of Canberra Women in Business, Sheena Ireland, said the last few years have been incredibly tough on the local business community, subsequently shining a light on the success, commitment, and determination of Canberra’s businesswomen.
“Many businesses are still feeling the effects of the global pandemic. Some have survived and some have not; but what we have seen from Canberra’s women in business is a great deal of tenacity and resilience.
“I encourage women who’ve been nominated to fill out that application; someone out there truly believes in you and your business; now it’s time to back yourself,” Ms Ireland said.
Synergy Group Australia, a local professional services consulting company, is the new naming rights and major sponsor for the 2022 event.
The 2022 Synergy CWB Gala Awards event will be held on Thursday 27 October at QT Canberra.
