Workshop POP: Upskill for 2021 with POP Canberra

School holiday options include a felt superhero mask workshop for kids aged five and up.

Calling all creative Canberrans! Purveyors of all things local, POP Canberra has announced a number of new workshops for 2021 so you can upskill for the new year, in their Workshop POP community space on Lonsdale Street, Braddon.

Try your hand at the basics of knife sharpening with local glass artist and self-taught knifemaker Dan Venables, learn to weave and make your very own bookmark with Brooke Parr, or master the art of vision journaling with Bree Boucher.

Coming back for this year, too, are some of POP Canberra’s most popular workshops, including workshops for making statement jewellery and ceramic plates, finger painting for adults and a monthly wine club.

Brooke Parr will be teaching Workshop POP participants how to weave their very own bookmark.

A number of school holiday workshops are on offer, too, with classes for children aged five and up. The kids can engage in some self-directed fun, with plaster play and creative craft workshops led by their imaginations.

Having launched in October 2020, Workshop POP aims to bring the Canberra community together to connect over creativity, knowledge and social connection. The POP Canberra shop showcases a range of products made by local artists, makers and producers.

Workshop POP is offering Canberra Daily readers 15% off their new 2021 workshops – knife sharpening, bookmark weaving and vision journaling – with the code HELLO2021. Offer expires 31 March 2021.

Check out all the info and book via the POP Canberra website.
