$1m Lotto win awaiting unknown Canberran

An unknown Canberra resident or visitor who scored $1 million in the weekend’s Saturday Lotto draw needs to check their ticket and come forward.

The mystery player held one of the 10 division one winning entries and is sitting on a total prize of $1,000,000.00.

The winning entry is unregistered, meaning there is no way to contact the winner to break the news, so they must come forward to claim their prize.

The division one winning entry was purchased at Penney’s Paper Shop in Gungahlin.

Penney’s Paper Shop owner James Penney said his team was overjoyed to have sold the winning ticket.

“We’re absolutely thrilled to hear that Penney’s Paper Shop had sold another division one winning entry in the weekend’s Saturday Lotto draw,” he said.

“This marks our 14th division one winning entry at the newsagency, and we hope the winning streak continues for months to come!

“We will be eagerly waiting for the mystery winner to come into our outlet and check their Saturday Lotto ticket. We hope we’re able to share the winning news with them soon!

“A big congratulations to our latest mystery division one winner and we hope it goes a long way for their family.”

The Lott spokesperson Anna Hobdell said she couldn’t wait to unite Canberra’s latest division one winner with their sensational prize.

“It’s likely our latest winner is going about their Monday as normal with no idea they’ve won $1 million in Saturday Lotto!” she exclaimed.

“We’re urging all players who purchased a Saturday Lotto ticket from Penney’s Paper Shop to check their tickets as soon as possible.

“There certainly wouldn’t be any thought of Monday blues if the mystery winner checked their ticket today and discovered they’re a newly made millionaire.

“Make sure you check your ticket, which could be in your wallet, handbag, fridge door or car glovebox because the winner could be you and you could be planning what to do with your prize too!

“If you discover you are holding the winning ticket, contact The Lott on 131 868 to begin the process of claiming your prize.
