Professor Denise Ferris spits on Voice ‘No’ voter in Cooma

Footage of Australian National University Emeritus Professor Denise Ferris sensationally spitting on a man at a Voice to Parliament Yes campaign event in Cooma is doing the rounds on social media.

The incident took place last Sunday at Centennial Park, Cooma and is now reportedly under police investigation.

The video shows Ferris, wearing a ‘Yes 23’ shirt, and the man, a no voter, behind the camera in a heated discussion before she spits at him.

Ferris then denies spitting, despite the incident clearly being caught on camera just moments before.

The ANU issued a statement saying they were aware of the incident involving their Emeritus Professor.

“This video has just been brought to the University’s attention. We will investigate and take appropriate action as required. “Emeritus professors are not paid members of staff.”
