Terra does dinner
Opening its doors in June, Terra quickly won over the hearts and stomachs of Canberrans with its ever-changing breakfast and lunch menu that features straight-off-the-spit smoked and charcoal meats, gourmet lunch rolls, healthy breakfast options and Duke’s specialty coffee. Now, Terra is open for dinner. Cooking over flames on their custom rotisserie and smoker, the casual No Name Lane eatery has created a share-style dinner menu with fun cocktails and a rotating wine and beer list featuring local producers.

Subway fighting hunger
Subway restaurants around Australia are coming together to fight food insecurity in celebration of World Sandwich Day with Subway Live Feed – an initiative to help fight world hunger and feed Aussies in need. In partnership with leading food relief organisation, Foodbank, every guest who visits a participating Canberra Subway restaurant on Friday 2 November and purchases a sub, salad or wrap will get one free, and Subway will donate the cost of a meal through Foodbank to those seeking hunger relief.
Participating Subway locations can be found at Barton, Chisholm, Conder, Fyshwick, Greenway, Queanbeyan, Phillip, Tuggeranong and Wanniassa.
Oodles of zoodles!
The popularity of zucchini noodles as a healthy alternative to pasta has seen a huge spike in zucchini sales across Australia, prompting leading restaurants to jump on the carb-conscious craze. The latest to add zoodles to the menu is Vapiano – famous for its gourmet house-made pizza and pasta – rolling out zucchini noodles as a green – and lighter – alternative to pasta across its full menu range.

New baby food range
Woolworths has launched its Smiling Tums baby food range, developed with nutritionists and costing just $1 each. Suitable for little ones from six months old, the range includes a range of nine fruit and vegetables, meals and custards with no added sugar, salt, artificial colours, flavours or preservatives. Woolworths senior nutritionist Natalie Chong said Woolies is committed to making its food range healthier for customers “and to do this, our team, together with nutritionists, have worked hard to remove added sugar from our full range of baby food without compromising on taste”.
