The Canberra region is finally opening back up and come late October/November, suddenly there’s a lot more to do around town than just your daily walk or a picnic!

Tallagandra Hill Winery
Over the border near Gundaroo, the good folk at Tallagandra Hill Winery are resurrecting their ‘We Love Local’ festival and bringing back live music from Aussie performers, who have once again been hit hard by lockdowns this year.
From this Sunday 24 October until Sunday 19 December, enjoy free live music in the courtyard on a lazy Sunday afternoon, or buy tickets to see stellar performers like country music star Catherine Britt on Friday 29 October 7pm as part of Tallagandra’s reopening celebration weekend.

Health Franklin’s Chopper
Acclaimed Australian comedian Health Franklin brings his iconic Mark ‘Chopper’ Read character to town with new show The Silencer at The Playhouse, Civic, Friday 29 October 7pm.

British Film Festival
The best of British in a line-up of 31 films, from 3 November to 1 December at Palace Electric Cinema, New Acton.
The program includes some of the Old Dart’s finest new releases, documentaries and a special ‘7 from the ’70s’ offering featuring a “sublime selection” of films from the era, four of which are turning 50 this year.

The Wharf Revue – Can of Worms
They’ve long been one of Canberra’s favourite political satire troupes, regularly packing out the Canberra Theatre, and their run this November should be no different.
Jonathan Biggins, Drew Forsythe and Phillip Scott, and guest Mandy Bishop, are back playing Canberra Theatre with the world premiere of their new show, The Wharf Revue: Can of Worms, from 8 to 20 November; book here.
A stinky fondue ’70s dress up party
