ACT Policing seeking driver of red Audi driven at officer

UPDATE: The red Audi A4 was located in Cook last night, Monday 10 July. Enquiries into the driver and passenger are ongoing.

Police continue to seek public information regarding the vehicles movements following the incident at ANU, in addition to information regarding the driver and passenger. 


BEFORE: ACT Policing is requesting urgent public assistance to locate a Red 2007 model Audi A7 wagon with registration YOF22T, that was allegedly driven at a police officer this afternoon, Monday 10 July.

About 4.25pm the officer, who was on foot, directed the car to stop as it was being driven with a flat tyre in the grounds of the ANU.

The Audi initially failed to stop, before it was this driven directly at the officer, colliding with him and knocking him off his feet. He received what are currently believed to be non-life-threatening injuries. The Audi was driven away at speed.

Police are urging anyone with information about the whereabouts of the car and/or the occupants not to approach the vehicle and to call ACT Policing Operations on 131 444. Please quote reference number P2176271.
