Beauty review: Lovebyt

Not as sexy as an intoxicating perfume or as fun as a new colour range of your favourite lipsticks, picking the right toothpaste matters. The oral care products we use are more important than the external niceties we add to our morning and evening routines. With so many options available, from whitening to charcoal-infused, it can be hard to know what to choose. We tested a natural option from the Lovebyt oral care range.

Operating under the belief that oral care is a universal necessity that should be championed by companies who have clear intentions, Lovebyt believes their all-natural ingredients and formulating standards provide care without compromise.

Incorporating naturally healing botanicals like eucalyptus and tea tree, Lovebyt offers consciously packaged, Australian-made goodies. We tested the Peppermint Botanical Toothpaste and the Peppermint Botanical Mouthwash.

The paste is smooth and doesn’t have any of the grittiness that some supermarket brands have, the flavour is refreshing and not overpowering. The mouthwash has a powerful minty punch that lasts for hours and leaves the mouth feeling clean and ready to face the day.

While the products were bitingly fresh and left the mouth feeling squeaky clean, $17 for 50ml of mouthwash and $16 for a tube of toothpaste will put these botanic beauties out of the budget for many brushers. However, if your budget allows for a bit of luxury in the every day, the Lovebyt range is recommended.
