The 2024 Canberra Balloon Spectacular kicked off this morning, 9 March, with a large crowd in attendance enjoying the perfect weather.
The air was still and the temperature was mild as the crowd began to build well before 6am. The balloons started to inflate at around 6.30am and not long after, they took to the skies.
If you haven’t seen the balloon spectacular in person, it is certainly worth checking out, there are also food and coffee options for those interested. Viewing near the National Library is one of the premier spots to see many of the balloons take off. The Canberra Balloon Spectacular runs every morning from 6am until 17 March, weather permitting.
