Canberra house prices fall in June

Canberra was among four capitals that saw home prices drop in June, according to the PropTrack Home Price Index released this morning. 

The report found that home prices in Canberra fell by 0.05% over the month, however they remained 0.58% higher than a year ago.

Key findings from the report:

  • Home prices in Canberra fell by 0.05% in June, however remained 0.58% above June 2023 levels.
  • Despite this, Canberra home prices in June were 5.30% below their March 2022 peak.
  • Since the start of the pandemic in March 2020, home prices in Canberra have increased by 36.0%.
