A third match was required in the best-of-three semi-final series between the UC Capitals and Melbourne Boomers after the series was levelled on Sunday 23 February.
The Boomers defeated the Capitals 88-76 with game three of the series played at the AIS Arena, Canberra on Wednesday 26 February. The result was not known at time of print.
The winner will advance to the grand final where they will face the number one seeded Southside Flyers, who will hold home court advantage in the best of three series starting on Sunday 1 March at Dandenong Stadium. Game two is Wednesday 4 March 7.30pm, location to be confirmed.
Meantime, Capitals players Keely Froling and Kelsey Griffin have been selected in the Australian women’s 3×3 team for the upcoming FIBA 3×3 Olympic Qualifying Tournament to be held in India on 18-22 March.
