Zero Proof Festival
Local alcohol-free cocktail company Altina Drinks will run several events this month as part of their Zero Proof Festival โ a series of alcohol-free events that celebrate eating, drinking and living better. The festival kicked off yesterday (1 July) with an Instagram live conversation with Sober in the Countryโs Shanna Whan, and will continue on Wednesday 15 July with a cooking masterclass at Pialligo Estate with Mix 106.3โs Kristen Davidson, where guests will be taken on a โseafood journeyโ with a two-course meal paired with Altinaโs non-alcoholic craft cocktails. Live tickets and โat homeโ tickets will be available to cater for those who want to head out and those who want to stay in. The festival will close with a nutrition seminar hosted by Kate Freeman from the Healthy Eating Hub on Wednesday 29 July. โPeople should be able to drink, or not drink, on their terms, without being judged,โ says Altinaโs co-founder Alan Tse. โThrough the Zero Proof Festival, we hope to be a vehicle to help change the Aussie drinking culture.โ
