Air dry clay sculptures

Materials
- Air Dry Clay
- Paint
- Paint brush
- Bamboo skewers (supplied from home)
Method
Collect all the pieces required to make your sculptures.
Prepare the base of the sculptures by cutting a square of clay and attaching a skewer.
Make your sculpture pieces. Remember to push through a hole in each piece with a skewer.
Decorate the surface of the pieces with a skewer and allow the pieces to dry completely.
Paint the sculpture bases and allow paint to dry.
Paint the sculpture pieces and allow to dry.
Thread the sculpture pieces onto the base.
Stand finished sculptures and display.
Keepsake box

Materials
- Paint brush
- 1 x packet of 150 popsticks
- Craft glue
- Craft wood alphabet pack
- 1 x 20mm pebble (approx.)
- Craft paints
Method
Lay out your base: Start by laying out your sticks, one by one until you have 11 in a row. Then grab two extra sticks and glue them down both ends of your row.
Build up the sides: Now place a dab of glue on the ends of two more sticks and glue them down the two sides. They should form a square once you’ve stuck them down. Repeat this step over and over, layer by layer until the box is as high as you want it to be.
Make the lid: This is pretty easy because all you need to do is repeat the first step. Lay 11 sticks in a row and run some glue along two additional sticks. Lay the two additional sticks across the others at either end to hold them together.
Add some colour: Once the glue has dried you can paint your box any colour you like. You could even choose the colours of your dad’s favourite footy team!
A message for Dad: Once you’ve decided what you want your message to be, just choose the appropriate letters and paint them as well. Once they’re dry, stick them to the top of your keepsake box.
Lift the lid: Last of all, stick some googly eyes to your pebble. Then stick the pebble to the top of the lid. This will make it easier for dad to open and close it. Now your Keepsake Box is ready for Dad!
