GIVIT seeks sewing items

GIVIT is calling for the donation of sewing items for a group of refugee women who recently arrived in Canberra and are looking to start a sewing group. Experiencing severe financial hardship and isolation, they are in need of sewing items such as scissors, thread, needles, elastic, ribbons, binding and buttons, and would also appreciate the donation of two sewing machines, an overlocker and fabric. Kippax Holiday Happenings

Kippax Uniting Church will run its regular Holiday Happenings (craft and games days) for primary school children on Thursdays 13 and 20 April 10am-2pm. ADFAS presentation

Australian Decorative and Fine Arts Society Canberra will host a special presentation on Wednesday 12 April 10am-12pm in the Theatrette at Australian Parliament House. Guided Peace Walks

Bungendore Harvest Festival

The Festival returns with a full weekend of activities on 14-16 April.
