Join COTA once again at EPIC on Wednesday 28 September!

To be held at Exhibition Park on Wednesday 28 September 10am-3.30pm, the Silver is Gold Veterans and Seniors Expo is designed to inspire, inform and foster connections for older Canberrans, including members of the ACT veterans’ community – over 100,000 people in total!

The Expo is about connection, enabling Expo exhibitors to impart information, promote their services, sell their products, increase awareness and importantly, increase the level of engagement for veterans and seniors.

The Budawang and Coorong Pavilions will host over 200 stalls featuring lifestyle, leisure and recreational activities including travel, art, craft, gardening, hobbies, travel and hand-made gourmet food.

The Parkes Room will feature a commemorative music concert, entitled ‘Spirit of the Anzacs’ with Army musicians and vocalists from the RMC Band from 12.30pm. Tickets for this free concert are through Eventbrite and you are encouraged to book early. The ticket link can be found on our website’s Expo page (under events):

The Coorong Pavilion will feature a ‘Green Hub’ comprised of gardening exhibitors and gardening guru, Tracey Bool, well known for her articles in the Canberra Daily Magazine. Tracey will be on hand to offer advice and answer questions.

Renowned Canberra artist and art teacher Margaret Hadfield of The Artists Shed will be offering Expo patrons the opportunity to participate in free introductory art classes.

ActewAGL have free test drives in electric vehicles for interested expo patrons. These will depart at regular intervals from their outside stand in the car park at the front of the Budawang Pavilion. To book your free test drive, visit the ActewAGL stall.

Exhibition Park in Canberra (EPIC) has lots of free car parking areas as well as disabled car parking areas.
