COTA ACT are pleased to announce that legendary Australian food celebrity Maggie Beer AO, an Australian cook, food author, restaurateur and food manufacturer, will be appearing at their Seniors Expo on Thursday, 26 May 2022 at EPIC.
Maggie is also one of the judges on The Great Australian Bake Off alongside Matt Moran and is also a regular guest on MasterChef Australia.
Joining Maggie at the Seniors Expo is the Maggie Beer Foundation and Maggie Beer Foods, who will be selling their fabulous products and offering taste-tempting samples to Expo patrons. Maggie will also provide a lunchtime presentation about the importance of senior’s nutrition and the work of her wonderful Foundation.
With 160 stalls spread across two huge pavilions, Canberra’s seniors have the opportunity to check out the latest products and services available to them in the Canberra region such as sustainable gardening, bees, conservation, permaculture, community gardens, art, photography, crafts and a complete range of recreational activities, hobbies and lifestyle interests or explore the realm of electric vehicles, courtesy of ACTEWAGL.
Transport Canberra are generously providing free light rail and bus services on the day and car parking at EPIC is totally free. All this fun and entertainment is yours for just a gold coin donation!
“At the very core of everything we do in 2022, our team is working closely with ACT Health and other agencies in planning events and activities with social distancing and other preventative measures firmly in place, whilst retaining the ambience and freedom for seniors to move around with relative ease, safety and comfort,” said COTA ACT CEO, Jenny Mobbs.
