Man charged over camera in shower cubicle

An Acton man was to face the ACT Magistrates Court this morning, Wednesday 1 July, after a camera was found in a shower cubicle at a Canberra university.

Police will allege the 22-year-old placed the camera in the cubicle in a unisex bathroom on 30 June.

The camera was discovered by a student on the same day and police were notified.

The man was arrested following examination of the university CCTV footage by police.

He was scheduled to face court today on a charge of invasion of privacy by capturing visual data.
