Police investigate Belconnen mall assault

ACT Policing has released CCTV footage of teenage males involved in an assault at Belconnen mall on Tuesday 13 October as part of their investigations into the incident.

About 4.30pm on Tuesday last week, an altercation occurred between two groups on the lower level of the shopping mall in the forecourt adjacent to the Benjamin Way entrance, during which a teenage male was assaulted.

Police have released images of another teenage male they would like to speak to in relation to the incident.

He is described as Caucasian in appearance, about 15-to-18-years-old, with a thin build. He was wearing a black hooded jumper, black shorts and a white cap at the time of the incident.

Anyone who may have information regarding this incident is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via the Crime Stoppers ACT website. Please quote reference 6646793. Information can be provided anonymously.

Because police believe the persons are under the age of 18, facial features have been blurred in the released images. However, police believe the distinguishing features, clothing, etc., may help people to identify the people involved and to then make a report.
