Summer scents

As we enter a new year, many of us are using it as an opportunity to start anew. Why not experiment with your signature scent, perhaps one for each season? Here are a few of our top floral, sweet and peppery scents for summer.

Oribe Côte dAzur Eau de Parfum 75ml, $185, roguebeauty.com.au

Unisex and powerful, it’s easy to see why this is the hero of the Oribe scents. Inspired by the bergamots of Calabria and complemented by jasmine and sandalwood, there is something delightfully peppery about the scent. Highly recommended.

Yum Pistachio 33, 100ml, $223, Sephora

Sugary sweet, this youthful scent will have you feeling like you’re in a lolly shop. Forget cookies and cream, pistachios and cream is where it’s at! This scent is one for lovers of the sweeter things in life.

Dolce & Gabbana Devotion Eau de Parfum 100ml, $246, Myer

An intoxicating mix of orange blossom and vanilla, the scent lasts for hours. Gentle but not overly feminine with a subtle hint of seduction, there is no faulting Devotion.

Rose Body Oil 100mL, $68, jurlique.com.au

If a subtle scent is more your style, try a body oil. Feminine, silky and nourishing, Jurlique’s Rose Body Oil will have you smelling like you were just plucked from the garden.

Created with cherry extract from the Luberon region of Provence, France. Uber-feminine, this delicate floral infusion has you ready for a romantic fling in Southern France, or at least smelling like you’re there.

ELLIE Fine Fragrance Mist 90ml, $36, smoochbody.com

The embodiment of freshness and fun in a fine mist spray, the scent is light, giving water lily and sweet pea on a soft musk base.

Sunsets in Capri 100ml, $139, glasshousefragances.com

An infusion of the floral and the fruit leaves, this is a strong and lasting scent with highlights of jasmine, mandarin and amber. Pleasant, but could be a touch strong for some noses. Recommend trying before buying.
