A GoFundMe page has been created for a “Final Farewell for Nikkita Drazevich,” who the fundraising site names as the woman whose body was found at Lake Ginninderra in Lawson on Monday 20 February.
In a statement, an ACT Policing spokesperson said: “The deceased person located on the shore of Lake Ginninderra on the evening of Monday, 20 February 2023 is believed to be a 32-year-old woman. Investigations into the circumstances of her death are continuing, and a report will be prepared for the Coroner.”

Since the fundraiser was created four days ago, it has attracted 55 donations and raised $3,000 towards its $5,000 goal.
Tributes have been flowing for Ms Drazevich, who died “seven days before her son’s 10th birthday” and just four days after the eighth anniversary of her older brother’s suicide death, writes the organiser of this fundraiser, Canberra woman Selina Walker.
“Whilst we still don’t have clear answers or reports as to how Nikkita died … one thing is very clear, Nikkita’s passing has left a huge hole in so many people’s lives now she is gone,” Ms Walker writes.
“Anyone that was fortunate to meet Nikkita would know how infectious her smile and laugh was, how warped her sense of humour was and how kind her heart was, sometimes to her detriment.
“We are raising money to help the family cover the costs of the funeral and send our beautiful girl off the way she deserves,” she writes.
“Our family send our deepest condolences and love,” writes one contributor. “Nikita was a beautiful soul and will be loved, missed and remembered. I hope we can get changes to start happening. Our young ones’ lives matter and we completely understand and know the pain of let down from the services that were meant to CARE. Justice for Nikita, justice for our kids. I couldn’t donate much but I hope it helps.”
“We really hope you are all okay during this sorry time. This is not fair and it’s not okay and I hope you are able to give Nikkita a beautiful day,” writes another.
