Would you pay to use someone else’s pool this summer? Pool-sharing platform Swimply says it’s gearing up for a busy season as people opt to stay put over the holidays and avoid crowded beaches and pools due to COVID-19. Cotton On Kids has announced a collaboration with Australian designer Alice McCall, due to launch on Friday 13 November in select stores and online. The range will include three designs in six colourways, in sizes two through to 10. The collection was unveiled the same day as news that McCall had appointed administrators for her eponymous label due to the financial impacts of COVID-19 and “unsustainable” rental obligations.


Lazy Summer Sunday beats, beers and yoga will take place in Haig Park over four weekends in November and December, kicking off on Sunday 22 November 4.30pm. Local artists will provide the tunes and Lonsdale Street’s venues will provide the beers as you experience a flowing yoga class for all ages and skill levels. Specsavers has joined forces with the Fred Hollows Foundation for two limited edition frames, featuring Aboriginal artist and Yuin woman Rheanna Lotter’sartwork Saltwater Dreamin’. $25 from the sale of each pair of glasses will be donated to the Fred Hollows Foundation to ensure more Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples can access high quality eye care and eyewear.


The Kmart Wishing Tree Appeal has been launched “earlier than ever” this year, on Monday 19 October, as Australians continue to feel the impacts of last summer’s bushfires and the COVID-19 pandemic. Shoppers can leave a gift under the in tree in Kmart stores, or donate in store or online to charity partner The Salvation Army.
