WIN! A Streetcar Named Desire double pass

Win a double pass to see Free-Rain Theatre’s production of A Streetcar Named Desire, on at ACT Hub in the Old Causeway Hall in Kingston from 19 – 29 June.

One of the most influential plays of the twentieth century and winner of the 1948 Pulitzer Prize for Drama.

โ€œStreetcarย is a thicket of internal warsโ€. The complexity, the ambivalentce and the unexpectedness of the characters draw us toย A Streetcar Named Desire.

Blanche, the tragic protagonist of Tennessee Williams’ play, grew up on a plantation called Belle Reve. Throughout her childhood, Blanche has been accustomed to gentility and wealth.

The estate’s wealth has evaporated, her loved ones have died off, she has lost her youthful beauty and her reputation is in tatters.

Blanche’s brother-in-law Stanley Kowalski thinks of his small apartment as his kingdom. Stanley does not want Blanche’s fantasy world to encroach upon his domain.

CD has one double pass for the Wednesday 19 June 7:30pm preview performance to be won.
