Witnesses and CCTV sought for Wright fire

ACT Policing are seeking any witnesses or nearby residents with CCTV footage that could help provide information about a fire at a property in Wright that has caused an estimated $500,000 in damage. 

About 1.45am on Friday, 26 May, ACT Policing and emergency services were called to reports that a car had been set on fire in the undercroft of 46 Steve Irwin Avenue in Wright. 

The fire was contained but not before causing extensive damage to the electrical and sewer systems of the property. 

Police have spoken to residents of the property and neighbours but are seeking further help from the public. 

Anyone who may have witnessed the fire, has information about the fire or who lives near that address that has CCTV footage and who has not yet spoken to police is urged to come forward.
